The Hepatitis C Trust has developed projects nationally whereby peers use their lived experience of injecting drug use and hepatitis C, to provide education and training to service users and staff in drug and alcohol, hostel and homeless services, increasing hepatitis C awareness, access to testing and referral to treatment, for people living with hepatitis C.  

Do you have experience of working in drug services and with volunteers? Have you been affected by hepatitis C or have you supported anyone who has hepatitis C? We are looking for a passionate and skilled peer lead who has excellent communication and organisational skills. We require a good standard of education and welcome creativity and innovation in all our work.   

Working under the guidance of the Peer Programme Manager, this post will continue the development of the project, recruiting and coordinating peers across Cardiff and The Vale of Glamorgan. Working in partnership with hepatitis C clinical teams, drug and alcohol services and homeless service providers, the post will coordinate delivery of awareness raising workshops, hepatitis C testing with a focus on local prisons and community criminal justice settings, ensure that service users are referred and supported through hepatitis C treatment and care.

As a Playground Coordinator you will be supporting disabled young people and their families by coordinating the delivery of an adventure play service at Lady Allen Playground. This is a great opportunity to develop your existing skills in a rewarding role and gain a strong sense of achievement. 

Working context: 

• You will be required to work variable/unsociable hours including evenings and Saturdays 
• Based on playground sites outside of regular office hours 
• You will be required to work from a second playground site (Chelsea Playground) on occasion

Key responsibilities: 

• To manage and supervise staff in the provision of the service 
• Brief staff effectively so they provide a positive play experience 
• Make sure there is a programme of activities that provide children with choices and opportunity for different play and social activities 
• Respond to and develop play episodes with children and other play practitioners  
• Take responsibility for providing 1-1 support for children with a range of disabilities 
• Keep written children records up to date and accurate 
• Demonstrate and record that children are involved in the development and planning of the playground 
• Effectively recruit and prepare play staff to undertake the requirements of the role 
• Co-ordinate and take management responsibilities for external visits and outings 
• To assist the Manager with the physical responsibilities of the playground including site inspections, maintenance, renewals and utilities.  
• To be aware of the budgets and the management of them 
• Make sure the playground meets regulatory requirements including Ofsted, H&S and Quality in Play.  
• Liaise on operational level with relevant Local Authority officers 
• Attend relevant regional and KIDs meetings 
• Participation in your own supervision and Continuing Professional Development 
• Within the post there is an agreed level of decision making responsibility in the delivery of the service especially in the absence of the Manager.  

To be able to carry out this role it is essential that you have the following characteristics: 

• Significant experience of working with disabled children in a play setting 
• Knowledge of disabilities/ impairments and impact on child and family members 
• Ability to engage and support children in a variety of play experiences without supervision 
• Experience of implementing an activity programme 
• Experience of coaching and mentoring sessional workers in areas of good practice 
• Understanding of current Safeguarding processes 
• Ability to work on your own and problem solve with little input from line managers 
• The capacity to undertake, when required, the range of management, development, administrative and liaison duties.  
• Good numeracy and literacy skills 
• Computer literate- good working knowledge of Microsoft office suite  
• Excellent range of communication skills with children, parents and other professionals.

What the job involves

We’re looking for an Events and Community Fundraising Coordinator to join our Events and Community Team. A high performing team who are driven to maximise opportunities, we aim to reach ambitious targets and provide an excellent supporter experience.

You’ll be our first point of contact for our fundraisers. You'll provide admin and support through telephone, email, and social media channels. You’ll build and manage relationships with existing and new supporters. From registration to the end of their supporter journey you'll help motivate during challenges, offer fundraising advice and ensure thanks at the end of a first-class experience. Whilst each Coordinator has a primary area of responsibility across different types of events, you’ll also work across teams to support where needed during busy periods of activity.

This role works with data through maintaining our Raiser’s Edge database. You'll also update records on JustGiving and Facebook Fundraising. This requires accuracy and working under the requirements of GDPR.

You’ll also work with our Communications teams. This supports the planning and delivery of our activity. You'll help engage with our digital adverts and identify compelling supporter stories. This helps to raise the profile of our fundraising products, as well as prostate cancer and Prostate Cancer UK.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and well organised Family Engagement Coordinator to work within our Family Team. This
role will be working directly with charity beneficiaries - parents and carers of children with serious and complex health
needs. This is a diverse and interesting role that is central to the development and expansion of our WellChild Family
Tree service.

Purpose of the role:
The Family Engagement Coordinator is vital to the success of the WellChild Family Tree Network. This is a growing network
that exists to connect families across the UK caring for a child with serious and complex medical needs with each other
and with WellChild. Through its online Facebook forum, and programme of activities, events and communications, it
provides members with the opportunity to make friends, make memories and get support.

Working within the Family Team and as part of the wider Programmes team this role will report to the Family Programme
Manager and is central to the development and expansion of the WellChild Family Tree. Key to this role is taking ownership
of and delivering a well-defined WellChild Family Tree membership experience that attracts and engages families from
across the UK and includes the provision of high-quality content and regular communications.

What the job involves

We’re looking for a People Operations Coordinator to join our People Team on a fixed term basis to play a vital role in providing exceptional HR support to our colleagues.

Working collaboratively with the wider People and Culture team to provide a customer focussed delivery, you’ll take ownership for all transactional processes relating to the entire employee journey, including onboarding, variations to existing terms and leavers.

Acting as a first line point of contact and provide advice on terms and conditions, employee benefits, HRIS systems, policies, and pay, staying up to date on legislative changes. You'll also be responsible for monitoring and renewing mandatory documents like visas, DBS, and NMC renewals (where required). You’ll support the process of absence management, probation, exit interviews and employee relations cases. Assisting with the monthly payroll process, you’ll update HRIS with changes impacting on payroll, as required.

Additionally, you'll manage the HR inbox, responding to queries or directing them to appropriate colleagues. You'll maintain accurate employee data, ensuring compliance with GDPR and other relevant data protection regulations.

You’ll be joining a small but busy People Operations Team in a hands-on role which focusses on providing a first-class administration and HR information service to all stakeholders. You’ll be CIPD Level 3 qualified or committed to qualifying with experience in providing excellent operations services in a busy HR/People Team.

It’s a given that you’ll understand the importance of confidentiality and discretion when working in a trusted role with access to highly sensitive information and effectively managing a busy and varied workload won’t be anything new to you. About the Role

Your objective for the first 12 months in post will be to have:

• Supported the Youth Zone to achieve 1,000 visits by young people a week by ensuring volunteers play a key role in service delivery.
• Collaborated with the delivery and operational team to ensure volunteer opportunities are identified.
• Put in place a robust volunteer recruitment pathway.
• Created a ‘culture of volunteering’ and ensured the critical role of volunteer is understood and valued across the whole organisation.
• Supported each member of the operation and delivery team to line manager between 2-4 volunteers each, providing between 6 and 30 hours of volunteering a week.

What will your typical day involve? 

You will lead the intergenerational care strategy, working with Nightingale Hammerson teams and external stakeholders. Key tasks include organising intergenerational events, creating spontaneous engagement opportunities, and fostering communication with Jewish organisations, synagogues, schools, and community centres. 

You'll produce reports to show the impact of the programme and contribute to educational and research projects. Impeccable customer service is essential, as you'll welcome visitors and ensure a positive experience. Additionally, you'll develop departmental processes to improve efficiency and promote Nightingale Hammerson’s values. 

You’ll also handle telephone and email enquiries, maintain strong working relationships, and occasionally support evening and weekend events. 

Who are we looking for? 

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent, with a Diploma in Intergenerational Care and Education being essential. They must demonstrate a willingness to have a positive impact on people’s lives, possess excellent communication skills with a kind and caring approach, and have a strong understanding of Jewish culture and way of life.  
 
Essential skills include literacy and numeracy for producing written materials and statistical information, alongside excellent IT skills, particularly in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, record systems, and video call programmes.  
 
Flexibility to meet service needs and the ability to work independently without constant supervision are key.

Experience in healthcare or educational settings is required, along with experience in leading or coordinating groups. The candidate should have experience designing lesson plans, and while experience in leading intergenerational engagements is desirable, it is not essential.

Main purpose of the role:

The Deputy Service Coordinator splits their time between the office organising rotas, liaising with families, social services, and health care professionals, and providing a minimum of 20 hours a week of direct support, as well as one weekend a month on the rota, depending on the needs of the service. 

The role requires the postholder to take responsibility for being on call between the leadership team. There is an additional payment for on-call duty. 

You will deputise for and support the Service Coordinator in leading and managing a community group comprising of a range of services for people with a learning disability and a team of support assistants. 

The Deputy Service Coordinator supports the Service Coordinator in creating Community and leading the service delivery within the group in line with their values and standards and the requirements of the Care Quality Commission [CQC].

Key essential criteria:

- Openness to work with, and grow in relationship with, people with and without learning disabilities, and get to know their community life.
- Substantial experience of developing and implementing person centred and self-directed support for people with a learning disability.
- An ability to understand the value of faith based service provision and to articulate it to others outside of the organisation.
- Evidence of relevant continuing professional development.

- Organisational skills to support the creation and management of service schedules.

Role Profile

You’ll act as the first point of contact for client referrals from North Lincolnshire Councils Adult Services. Clients will have already received a full assessment by the Adult Services team to identify and meet their personal care needs. Your role will complement the outcome of this assessment, enabling clients to explore and identify low level interventions in relation to their domestic and social needs.

You’ll empathise with people and provide person-centred support in a non-judgemental way, enabling them to self-manage. You’ll use a strength-based approach focusing on what the person can do for themselves to improve their quality of life and build resilience by supporting them to identify what assets they already have or can draw upon – family, friends, neighbours, religious organisations, community programmes, cultural and ethnic organisations, or other support groups throughout North Lincolnshire. Working as part of the wider integrated team, you’ll work to divert demand away from the ‘front door’ of health and adult social care, increasing the capacity of domiciliary care teams across North Lincolnshire and enabling a holistic approach to clients' health and wellbeing.

You’ll ensure service data and local intelligence is captured and communicated to inform the review, revision and development of interventions to meet needs, strengthen community and individual resilience and help to develop and grow accessible and sustainable activities and services that address the wider determinants of health and reduce health inequalities.

You’ll also record project outcomes and develop a feedback loop ensuring the impact of community response is reflected back to system partners, facilitating understanding of the impact of low level interventions on individuals and the system as a whole.

My Life My Choice (MLMC) is a self-advocacy charity run by and for people with learning disabilities, founded in 1998.  The charity delivers a diverse range of innovative and user led projects that enhance and empower the lives of adults with learning disabilities in Oxfordshire.  These established projects include Professional Services (training, consultancy & research), Champions who speak up and campaign, Travel Buddy scheme, 15 local self-help groups, and Gig Buddies.

The role

My Life My Choice (MLMC) is a self-advocacy charity run by and for people with learning disabilities, founded in 1998.  The charity delivers a diverse range of innovative and user led projects that enhance and empower the lives of adults with learning disabilities in Oxfordshire.  These established projects include Professional Services (training, consultancy & research), Champions who speak up and campaign, Travel Buddy scheme, 15 local self-help groups, and Gig Buddies.

MLMC is now looking for a part-time Finance and Administration Officer.  The successful applicant will manage MLMC’s day-to-day finances providing financial information to the Charity Coordinator and other staff as needed. Additional duties include administration/governance support to the Charity Coordinator and to manage the day to day running of the office (this does not involve any people management). This role calls for an individual with accounts and/or book keeping experience, the ability to run an end to end payroll using a computerised system including HMRC and year end reporting, and excellent administration skills. It is crucial that you will be able to communicate politely, professionally, effectively and clearly with all stakeholders (e.g. fellow staff, customers etc.).

All of the charity’s roles require individuals who show a passion for empowering, working with, and raising the voices of people with learning disabilities.

We need a self-starter who enjoys a challenge, can hit the ground running and is able to work with minimal supervision.
